William Robert Mounce, 83, of Birdsboro, Robeson Twp., PA passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022, at the Reading Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late William Milford and Florence (Honer) Mounce. He was the loving husband of Margaret Ann (Honey) Mounce.
Bill spent many years working professionally in the Chemical Engineering field. He loved music – he was a self-taught pianist and enjoyed singing. He was a member of the Gilbert and Sullivan Society. He also participated in Revolutionary war reenactments. He was involved in the preservation of the environment and with numerous federal, state, and local level affairs throughout his entire life. He was passionate about tennis, gardening, reading, good conversation and debate.
Bill was a very humble man and loved his family.
Surviving William, along with his wife, Margaret, is one son: Thomas Mounce, husband of Eileen, Birdsboro, PA; three daughters: Karen Witman, wife of Scott, Spring Twp., PA, Sarah Iwanyszyn, wife of Timothy, Cookeville, TN, and Catherine Blankenship, wife of Shawn, Sammamish, WA; and a sister: Joan Miller, wife of Robert, Wayne, PA; 7 grandchildren: Jonathan, Jesse, Michael, Matthew, Lauren, Ashley, Jennifer; and 5 great grandchildren: Jayda, Julie, Micah, Tanner, and Kate and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 12:30pm at the Dengler Funeral Home, Inc. 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA 19508. A visitation will be held on Friday, from 10:30am-12:30pm prior to the service.
