Karen Fay Eckert 64 of Lansdale, PA passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Harborview Rehab and Care Center Lansdale. Born in West Reading, PA she was the daughter of the late Ira S. and Mary A (Rhoads) Eckert.
Karen was a graduate of Eastern Mennonite University of Harrisonburg VA with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Middle School Education.
Karen was employed as a retail clerk in the family business until 1979. She then worked as a church secretary, teacher, and a night manager at Turkey Hill in Manheim PA. She was a member of Hosanna Christian Fellowship in Lititz, PA. She enjoyed crocheting, coloring, crafts, and reading.
She is survived by 1 sister: Carol Shore wife of Stephen; 6 brothers: Harold Eckert, Allan Eckert, Neal Eckert husband of Elaine, Dennis Eckert husband of Edie, Barry Eckert husband of Helen and Dean Eckert; and 18 nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers: Richard and Ronald Eckert; 1 sister-in-law Barbara Eckert; 2 nephews: Lonny and Larry Eckert; and her roommate of 30 years who was like a sister Ethyl Anne Hritz.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
