Frances Currie Tracewell, 95, recently a resident of Douglassville, PA died Sunday afternoon 6 March 2022.
She was born on 29 August 1926, in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan, to James and Janet Katherine (Nester) Currie.
On 5 January 1946, she married William R. Tracewell of Tiffin, OH. Their children include Christena “Tracey” Innis of Tiffin; William Tracewell, Jr of Cincinnati, OH; Victoria (Husnu) Kalkanoglu of Swarthmore, PA; and Tracey (Joseph) Kolenda of Douglassville, PA. Family includes their ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Frances graduated from Sault Area High School in 1944 and attended Tiffin University before she was employed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
Bill and Frances lived in Columbus, Marion, and Cincinnati, Ohio. After retiring, Bill and Fran moved to St. Marys where she managed Bill’s tax business. They also enjoyed their family cabin on Lake Superior during their 68 years of marriage.
In addition to her parents Frances is predeceased by her husband William, and sister Christena “Pinky” Abbott.
Frances loved to read mysteries, write in her journal, paint, visit, laugh, and tend to her pets. Her family will miss her dearly.
