Anita L. (Maurey) Oxenford

Anita L. (Maurey) Oxenford, 86, born in Boyertown, PA to the late Harold T. and Myrtle (Mutter) Maurey, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2024, at her residence at Amity Place, Douglassville.  She spent most of her life as a resident of Amity Township married to her husband of 67 years, William V. (Billy) Oxenford, a resident at Amity Place.

In her early years she was employed by Osans, Boyertown.  Later in life she enjoyed her position as the hostess at the Birdsboro Sportsman’s Club.  She was first, and foremost, a housewife and mother who provided faithful and loving care for her family.

Anita was a member of the Birdsboro Sportsman’s Club and a life member of the Amity Fire Co.

Anita is survived by her daughter, Kathy McNeely, Douglassville and her son, W. Scott Oxenford, husband of Jody Stout, Buckeye, AZ, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, and sisters Judith, wife of Gerald Seip and Susan, wife of Frank Sancinella.

She was also predeceased by two of her siblings, Darlene Schanley, wife of Daniel and Harold C. Maurey (Butch) husband of Peggy.

Interment will be private at St. Paul’s UCC Cemetery.

A future Celebration of Life for friends and family will be held at a date to be determined.
