V. Irene (Spohn) Dean, 96, of Birdsboro, PA, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023, in the comfort of her home. Born in Warwick Twp., Chester Co., PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry G. and Eva M. (Murray) Spohn. She was the widow of Clinton W. Dean, Sr. who passed away in 2011.
Irene graduated from North Coventry High School in 1944. She spent most of her life taking care of her children and grandchildren. She loved to crochet, but her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Birdsboro, PA and D.A.R., Mahanatawny Chapter.
Surviving Irene are:1 daughter: Joyce I. Kriczky, wife of Randall of Birdsboro, PA; 3 sons: Clinton W. Dean, Jr., husband of Phyllis of Catonsville. MD, Thomas A. Dean of Birdsboro, PA, John H. Dean, husband of Kay of Birdsboro, PA; 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her sisters: Pearl Johnson and Ruth Orr; and her brother: Alvin W. Spohn.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Dengler Funeral Home, Inc. 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA 19508 on Monday, January 9, 2023 at 11:00AM. A viewing will be from 10:00AM – 11:00AM at the funeral home prior to the service on Monday. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel UM Church Cemetery in Warwick Twp.
