Robert L. Doaty, 91, of Robeson Twp., Birdsboro, PA passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Complete Care at Berkshire. Born in Birdsboro, he was the son of the late Edward M. and the late Isabella V. (Deeds) Doaty. He was the loving husband of Sarah E. (Hafer) Doaty.
Robert was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Navy. He worked most of his life as a Tech Specialist for IBM. In his younger years, he was an avid fisherman, loved listening to classical music, and took care of his large personal garden at home. He was a member of St. John’s UUC in Gibraltar, PA.
Surviving Robert, along with his wife, Sarah are: son: Brian Doaty, husband of Wendy of Kenhorst, PA; 2 daughters: Cathy Rittenour of Mohnton, PA, Debra Bortz, wife of Chester of Narvon, PA; 2 sisters: Helen Zerr of Geigertown, PA, Mary Ann Millard of Reading, PA; 7 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
He was predeceased his brother: Russell Doaty and a great grandson.
A funeral service will be on Monday, July 3, 2023 at 11:00AM at St. John’s UCC, 57 St. Johns Rd. Birdsboro, PA 19508. A viewing will be held form 10:00AM-11:00AM at the church on Monday, burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery.
