Poppy was amazed his beloved granddaughter Kayla had changed his life with so much love and laughter. One of his proudest moments was teaching Kayla that there was such a thing as the ice cream man, they waited one day for the Ice Cream Truck, and the look on her face was priceless. Now she was amazed that ice cream came right to the house. What a loving moment.
Richard’s hobby since age of 13 was collecting vinyl records (Gary U.S.Bonds was his favorite). Because of his love of music he enjoyed being a disc jockey. Richard was owner of Record Express and he loved playing music for years at classic car shows for Penn Side Drive Inn, The Late Great Chevy Car Club, Birdsboro Women’s Club Car shows, Corvettes for Kids, Skyline Drive Corvette Club and many others. Richard’s most honored Dj’ing fun was sharing music with the residents of Southeastern Veterans Center in Spring City, Pa. He played many times a month for 7 years until COVID quarantined the Center.
