Randy L. Matz, 73, of Birdsboro, Robeson Twp., PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at the Reading Hospital. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of late Robert H. and Gene (Worley) Matz.
Randy worked in the warehouse dept. for Ryder Truck Rentals. He was a big hockey fan and played in rec leagues for many years and was a season ticket holder for the Reading Royals since their inaugural season. He enjoyed fishing, reptiles, and other sports.
Surviving Randy are: 2 daughters: Tracy Adams, wife of Thomas; Lori Chestnut, companion, Michael Emerick; son: Eric C. Matz, husband of Abby; 2 brothers: Barry and Chris Matz; sister: Robin Lesher; 8 grandchildren: Kaylene, Jesse, Zachary, Nicholas, Emily, Hunter, Isaiah, and Cooper; 1 great granddaughter: Olivia; and his companion: Karen (Shirey) Wenrich.
The family invites family and friends to gather at the Dengler Funeral Home, Inc. 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 2:00pm-4:00pm.
