Paul L. Darrah, Jr., 75, of Douglassville, Amity Twp., PA, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Penn State Health St. Joseph’s. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Paul L. Darrah, Sr. and the late Marjorie E. (Merritt) Darrah. He was the husband of Patricia M. (Kelly) Darrah
Paul worked for many years in furniture and clock restoration for Merritt’s Antiques in Douglassville, PA. He also served in the US Army. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, gardening, and spending time at the cabin at Raystown Lake. Paul was famous for his daffodil garden that spanned across most of his property. He was a member of St. Paul’s UCC, Amityville, Amity Fire Co., PA Trappers, Assoc., and Pikeville Sportsmen’s Assoc.
Surviving Paul, along with his wife, Patricia, is 1 son: Paul L. Darrah, III, husband of Christine of Douglassville, PA; 1 daughter: Jennifer L. McIlvee of Oley, PA; 1 sister: Marjorie A. Yocom of Douglassville, PA; and 4 grandchildren: Emily Madison Darrah, Hunter Paul Darrah, Daniel Paul Darrah, and Lily Christine McIlvee.
He was predeceased by his grandson: McKager Samuel Mills.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 11:00AM at St. Paul’s U.C.C. 1979 Weavertown Rd. Douglassville, PA 19518. A viewing will take place from 9:30AM-11:00AM at the church before the service. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
