On Wednesday, June 23, 2021, Kevin Rodney Hoffman passed away in his home at the age of 61. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late P. Rodney and Barbara A. Hoffman. Kevin was married to Phyllis L. Hoffman for 34 wonderful years. He was survived by one daughter, Kristin Hoffman and her significant other Meghan Hollenbach of Evergreen, Colorado; sister and best friend Sherri Riegel, wife of Craig Riegel; niece Corinne Levan, wife of Scott Levan; nieces and nephews London, Cameron, and Olivia.
Kevin was a graduate of Daniel Boone High School, later working for his family business P. Rodney Hoffman Inc. for 34 years. His sister Sherri and Kevin were loving and selfless caregivers to their father and mother for 15 years. Kevin was a loyal truck driver for Timac Agro Inc. until his recent cancer diagnosis.
Kevin was an avid downhill skier and a member of the Flying Dutchman Ski Club in Reading, PA. He enjoyed yearly family ski trips around the country, and you always noticed his beautiful ski style. Kevin was a car guy all his life. He enjoyed showing his grandfather’s restored ’72 El Camino at car shows and attending dirt racing with his friends. Kevin released any stress in his life maintaining gardens at his home and beach house. He could be found kayaking and fishing at Garden Lake. He was a super fan of the Philadelphia Phillies. Kevin’s smile and laughter were contagious in any situation.
Funeral services will be held at Dengler Funeral Home, 144 N. Spruce St., Birdsboro, PA on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 4:30 PM. Family will receive relatives and friends from 3PM to 4:30 PM. In lieu of cut flowers, a sympathy arrangement of perennials would be appreciated. These perennials will be planted in Kevin’s memory for his family to continue to enjoy.
