Grace E. (Groff) Prizer, 87, of Alsace Twp., Berks Co., PA, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Pottstown, PA she was the daughter of the late Leon and Sara (Rhoads) Groff. She was the widow of Wayne L. Prizer, Sr.
Grace worked as a switchboard operator for the former Bell Telephone Co., and for the Comfort Inn in Pottstown. She spent most of her life raising her family. She was a member of St. Paul’s U.C.C. in Pottstown where she was very involved. She enjoyed playing cards.
Surviving Grace are: 2 sons: Michael L. Prizer, husband of Susan and Brian K. Prizer, husband of Kelli; daughter-in-law: Barbara Prizer, widow of Wayne “Butch” L. Prizer, Jr.; 3 sisters: Ruth Weinsteiger, Dorothy Yocum, and Dale Ellis; 5 grandchildren: Aaron, Danielle, Erik, Zachary, and Justin Prizer; and 9 great grandchildren: Atreyu, Jack, Grayson, Emilia, Zayne, Oaklynn, and Axel Prizer, Wybie and Neveah Mojica.
She was predeceased by her son: Wayne “Butch” L. Prizer, Jr. and brothers: Gerald, Robert and Charles Groff and sister: Mary Moore.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 11:00AM at St. Paul’s UCC, 927 N. Franklin St. Pottstown, PA 19464. A visitation will be from 10:00AM-11:00AM prior to the service on Saturday. A luncheon will follow the service.
