Ellen Mae (High) Sheeler, 93, of Douglassville, Amity Twp., PA passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Fricks Locks, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Mary (Rhoads) High. She was the wife of Calvin A. Sheeler, Sr.
Ellen cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling and beach trips. She was a Sunday School teacher for 25 years at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Douglassville, PA where she was also a member.
Surviving Ellen, along with her husband, Calvin are: 2 sons: Calvin A. Sheeler, Jr., husband of Roxane of Boyertown, PA, Mark A. Sheeler, husband of Kim of Douglassville, PA; 2 daughters: Nancy J. Peterman of Boyertown, PA, Barbara J. Smale, widow of Tracy of Boyertown, PA; sister: JoAnne Merkel of Douglassville, PA; 7 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her 3 brothers and 1 sister.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 548 Old Swede Rd. Douglassville, PA 19518 on Friday, December 16, 2022 at 11:00AM. A visitation will be held from 10:30AM – 11:00AM at the church on Friday before the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at the above address.
