Elvira Lihon Vda de Sanchez, 103, Douglassville, Amity Twp., PA passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022 in the comfort of her daughter’s home. Born in Santiago de Chuco, Peru, she was the daughter of the late Benigno Lihon Rojas and Rosa Paredes Sanchez. She was the widow of Pascual Danilo Sanchez Gamboa.
Elvira spent most of her life taking care of her family. She was always ready to help the family. She took it for granted that her grandchildren needed her help. Therefore, from the first grandchild to the last, each one felt her care. Her nieces and nephews remember her because she gave them love as if they were her own children. She enjoyed volleyball, crocheting and sewing in her younger years.
Surviving Elvira are 3 sons: Juvenal, Danilo, and Milton Sanchez; 7 daughters: Andrea and Sofia Sanchez, Elvira Portella, Nancy Litka, Belinda Willard, Jacqueline Mills, and Luz Elvira Donado; and 29 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son: Guillermo Sanchez and 7 brothers and sisters.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at the Dengler Funeral Home, Inc. 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA 19508 at 4:00pm. A viewing will be from 2:00pm – 4:00pm on Saturday at the funeral home, prior to the service. Burial will be in Santiago de Chuco, Peru.
