Donald Thornton Miller, Sr., 101, formerly of Blandon, Maidencreek Twp., PA passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at the Lutheran Home at Topton. Born in Monocacy, PA, he was the son of the late Thornton L. and the late Bessie (Kline) Miller. He was the widower of Marvel E. (Vovivich) Miller who passed away in 2018.
Donald served in the United States Navy and was a veteran of WWII. He worked as a Machinist at Stanley G. Flaggs Co. in Stowe, PA until retirement. He was a member of Union Lodge #479 F&AM, Maidencreek Church, Senior Group at church, and enjoyed woodworking.
Surviving Donald are: 2 sons: Donald T. Miller, Jr. husband of Candice L. of Fleetwood, PA and William V. Miller, widower of Debra of Fresno, CA; 1 sister: Geraldine Angstadt of Mohnton, PA; 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
He is predeceased by daughter: Drucilla Miller and sister: Virginia Painter
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Maidencreek Church, 261 Main St. Blandon, PA 19510. A visitation will be from 12:30pm-1:00pm at the church prior to the service. Inurnment will be in Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Maidencreek Church Building Fund at the above address.
