Daniel William Tea Light, 79, of Douglassville, PA died on Monday, January 21, 2019 at the Berkshire Center, Exeter Twp., Berks County, PA of natural causes.
Born on September 29, 1939 in West Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Daniel E. Light and Florence (Tea) Light.
Daniel was the husband of Darlene Patricia (Mertz) Light for 59 years.
He served in the US Army from 1961 to 1966 as a Personnel Sergeant in Germany.
Daniel was a 1957 graduate of Daniel Boone. He attended Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute and Drexel University. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Amityville, PA. He was also a member of Reading Lodge #549 F. & A. M.
Daniel was a supervisor for 8 years in the plastic department and retired from Occidental Chemical Corp. (oxy) Pottstown, PA and former Firestone Tire & Rubber Co., Pottstown, PA for 22 years. He owned his own business, “Dan’s Beverage” in Laureldale, PA for 10 years and worked P.T. at Amity Beer for 10 years.
Surviving in addition to his wife is, 1 Daughter; Debra Jean (Light) wife of Kevin T. Lindaver of Cary, Illinois, 1 son; Daniel William (Tea) Light, Jr. of Duluth, Georgia, sister; Judith (Light) wife of Gerald Davis of Blandon, PA, 2 Grandchildren; Brynn Light and Brady Lindauer.
Friends and relatives are invited to the visitation on Monday, January 28, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dengler Funeral Home, Inc., 144 N. Spruce St., Birdsboro, PA, a funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM
