Charles Henry Gorman, Sr.

Charles Henry Gorman Sr. 6/22/1945-4/14/2021 passed away suddenly on April 14th, 2021.  He was the son of the late William T Gorman & Leasha Betty Gorman (Van Huser).  Charles was born in Fulton, New York & resided in Douglassville, Pa.  Through the years, he resided in several Delaware and Chester County locations.

Charles is survived by his loving wife Jeanne Marie (O’Hara).  They were looking forward to celebrating their 50th Anniversary in July.  He is also survived by his brother William T Gorman from Thurmont, Maryland.

Charles is also survived by his children Charles H Gorman Jr (Amy Hutchinson), Daniel J Gorman (Karen Pandjak), Kelley Banninger (Carl), and Richard C. Gorman.  He is the proud grandfather to 10 grandchildren, Brianna, Zachary, Ashley, Trevor, Danny, Mackenzie, Carley, Rachel, Emilia and Sophia whom he enjoyed and loved with all his heart.

Charles was a proud member of the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict of the U.S.S. America Naval ship.

Charles enjoyed coaching his children in baseball and football in the early years.  He enjoyed watching his children & grandchildren play ice hockey and enjoyed his daughter’s cheerleading competition.    Charles was very involved in his children’s lives.  He was always at any event that involved them.  He helped out their organizations with their 50/50 sales & just being a people person.

Charles loved to talk about his childhood.  His storytelling was comical & enjoyable.  He loved making people laugh.  He also loved teasing his children & grandchildren.

He will be dearly missed by all of his family & friends and his “lovable” cat Fern.  In lieu of flowers, a donation in his name to your favorite charitable organization would be appreciated.  Interment and memorial service to be determined at a later date.
