Barbara A. (Smith) Druce, 87 of Douglassville, Amity Twp. PA passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Keystone Villa in Douglassville. Born in Wilmington, DE, she was the daughter of the late Albert E. and Elizabeth M. (Olsen) Smith. She married her high school sweetheart Walter W. Druce, moved to Sharon Hill where they raised their family before moving to Birdsboro. They were married for over 60 years until his passing in 2016.
Barbara was employed as a waitress, hostess and bookkeeper for Stouffer Restaurants both in Wynnewood and Philadelphia, PA for 23 years. She was an active volunteer for local elections, the library, the store at Keystone Villa, and she was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Birdsboro, PA.
Surviving Barbara are: 3 sons John W. Druce (Marlean) of Harker Heights, TX, David W. Druce (Yong) of West Reading, PA, Edward R. Druce (Elizabeth) of Havertown, PA; 2 daughters Diane E. Nugent (Vince) of Wilmington, DE, Linda A. Druce of Upper Darby, PA; 10 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her sister Elizabeth Webster.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
