Barbara A. Nester (Hohl), 81, of Douglassville, Union Twp., PA passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022, surrounded by her family. Born in Reading, PA she the daughter of the late James R. and Bessie I. (Kulp) Hohl. She was the loving wife for 57 years of Paul James Nester. Barbara worked at Gudebrods, where she met her husband, Baumstown Flag Plant, St. Michael’s Church, and babysat her grandchildren after retirement. Barbara loved animals, making beautiful floral wreaths, watching the Philadelphia Phillies, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her sister Margaret Myers. Surviving Barbara are two daughters: Lori Pennypacker, wife of George, and Debra Millard, wife of Jeffrey; 4 grandchildren: Heather Setley, wife of Jon, Eric Millard, husband of Ashley, and Brittany Millard, companion of Buddy Dunlap, Brandon Pennypacker, husband of Tracy, and fur baby Ty; and 7 great grandchildren: Hailey, Hayden, Bentley, Aidan, Bryce, Morgan, and Joshua. Barbara is predeceased by her parents, James and Bessie, husband, Paul, and siblings Gladys, Janice, and Harold. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
