Zaza B. (Berry) Rice, 96, formerly of Amity Twp., PA passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at the Green Hills Manor. Born in Altavista, VA, she was the daughter of the late Robert S. and Muriel (Anderson) Berry. She was the widow of Calvin W. Rice, Sr who passed away in 1989.
Zaza graduated from Kutztown State College in fine arts. She spent most of her life as an Artist in watercolor, oil painting, and drawing. She was a member of the Wyomissing Art Institute. She was a member of West Gant Baptist Church in Greenville, SC.
Surviving Zaza are: 2 sons: Vincent T. Rice, husband of Kathleen of Naples, FL, Calvin W. Rice, Jr., husband of Linda of Douglassville, PA; 1 daughter: Gwendolyn M. Swisher, wife of Russell of Oley, PA; 1 brother: Jules V. Berry of Shelby, NC; 8 grandchildren: Rebecca, Diana, Hilary, Max, Sally, Tom, Elizabeth, and Jennifer; and 13 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by 2 brothers: Bob and Carl Berry and 1 sister: Irene Redden.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
