Thomas D. Runfola, 77, of Douglassville, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 in the comfort of his home.
He was born on Staten Island, NY, the Son of the late Sylvio and Adeline (Bianco) Runfola, and brother to two sisters, Pam and Jacquie.
Tom served our country in the United States Air Force, earning his stripes as a Sergeant. During that time, he met the love of his life, his wife Yvonne, who passed away on December 7, 2022. After leaving the Air Force, he made a career of working for Burroughs/Unisys Corporation. He was a member of the Ocean County NJ Fraternal Order of Police Pistol and Rifle Club, where he competed and spent time with friends. He was also a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, and deeply loved his Church and Catholic faith.
Anyone who knew Tom knew of his passion for all things automotive. He grew up working in his father Sylvio’s garage, where his talents and passion grew into a lifelong love and hobby. He was an incredible wealth of knowledge, and he shared that knowledge throughout his life with family and friends alike.
Tom loved his family above all, and was a dedicated husband and Dad, always doing whatever it took to ensure that his family was provided for all throughout his life. He will be missed, though we know he is here with us, and now reunited with Yvonne, Elizabeth, Sylvio, and Adeline.
