Sharon L. (Trice) Thompson, 67, of Birdsboro, PA passed away on March 26, 2019, in the comfort of her home. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Martha M. (Hancock) Fields. She was the loving wife of John E. Thompson of 39 years.
Sharon was employed as an accountant and office manager for Chicago Stationers in Illinois. She graduated and earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Valparaiso. She enjoyed reading and was a history enthusiast, especially Civil War and Modern Era Political History. Sharon always loved spending time with her grandchildren and was a fantastic mom. She was also “Mom” of six of her youngest son’s friends, who loved her macaroni and cheese and peach cobbler. She was a stranger to no one, but had selective friends from high school and college. Sharon enjoyed traveling, one of her last journeys was traveling the Mediterranean.
Surviving Sharon, along with her husband John, are: 2 sons: Gregory A. Thomas of TX, Robert R. Thompson, husband of Crystal of Rolling Meadows, IL; 2 brothers: Jamie Lyles, husband of Patty of Birdsboro, PA, Alfred Lyles of Pittsburgh, PA; and 4 nieces. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her brother: Kevin Lyles.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 10:00AM-11:00AM at the Dengler Funeral Home, Inc. 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New First Baptist Church of Birdsboro, 216 N. Mill St. Birdsboro, PA 19508.
