Scott A. Walt

Scott A. Walt, 64, of Mohnton, PA, passed away in his home on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. Born in West Reading, the son of Donald L. Walt of Amity Twp, Berks Co., PA, and the late Carolyn S. (Wernicki) Walt.
Scott dedicated 18 years of his professional life to the PA Turnpike Commission before retiring, he was a proud member of the Teamsters Union. An avid outdoorsman, Scott found joy in hunting and cherished his time at dirt track racing events, as well as following Formula 1 racing and cheering on local high school football teams. He was a valued member of the South Birdsboro Archery, Rod, and Gun Club and a supporter of the NRA.
Surviving Scott, along with his father, Donald, are his brother, Bryan M. Walt, husband of Kim of Reading, PA; Sisters: Donna L. Schnable, widow of Clark of Douglassville, PA, and Lori J. Raser, wife of Gary of Birdsboro, PA; nephews: Benjamin Walt, Brandon Deppen, and Daniel Schnable, he was predeceased by his nephew, Gary Raser, III.; nieces: Brittani Schnable, Bryhn VanAuken, and Erin Raser; great nephew: Kadin; and great-niece: Taylor.
Scott’s life will be celebrated on Sunday, March 17th, at 1:00 p.m. in the Family Life Center at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, Mohnton, PA. Burial will be held privately at the family’s convenience.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice in Scott’s honor.
