Robert “Joe” E. Johnson, 85 of Birdsboro, PA passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at the Reading Hospital. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late David and Grace (Beidler) Johnson. He was the husband of Joan E. (Walley) Johnson for 65yrs.
Joe worked as a machinist for the former Birdsboro Corp. and later worked for RV Industries in Honey Brook, PA. He graduated from Birdsboro HS Class of 55 and a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Birdsboro, PA. Joe loved his family and his church more than life itself. He enjoyed all Philadelphia sports, especially the Phillies. Joe was known and loved by everyone in Birdsboro.
Surviving Joe, along with his wife, Joan, are 1 son: Todd R. Johnson, husband of Valerie or Newmanstown, PA; 3 daughters: Cindy Reppert, wife of Bill of Exeter Twp., PA, Sheri Graeff, wife of Bob of Exeter Twp., PA, Amy Machmer of Leesport, PA; 1 sister: Margaret Groff of Morris, PA; 7 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and 6 step-great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 1:00pm at Birdsboro Cemetery, 1018 E. Main St. Birdsboro, PA 19508.
