Paul I. Swisher, 92 of Birdsboro, PA passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at home.
Born in Birdsboro, PA, he was the son of the late Maurice Swisher and late Thelma (Yergey) Swisher Beidler. Paul and Theresa (DaDamio) were married on September 20, 1952.
Paul was a member of Immaculate Conception RC Church, the Birdsboro Sportsman Club, Birdsboro VFW.
Paul served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict.
He had been employed by EG Brooke Foundry, a State Farm Insurance agent, and retired as a mail carrier for the US Postal Service.
Paul enjoyed gardening, golf, hunting and fishing.
Surviving along with his wife are daughters, Stephanie Austin, Stacey wife of Michael Mixell and Sondra wife of William Chalupa, sister, Nancy Rimby, grandchildren, Nicole Pagan, Stephen Austin, Julie Austin, Andrew Schickram, Devin Schickram, Elizabeth Johnston, Emily Oropollo, Samantha Chalupa, Kristin Chalupa, Matthew Chalupa, 8 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by daughter Cynthia Schickram, brothers, Lewis, Richard, Kenneth and sister Mary Marcella Clark.
A viewing will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception RC Church, 905 Chestnut St., (Union Twp.) Douglassville, PA with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 AM.
The burial will be in Immaculate Conception RC Church Cemetery in Union Twp., Berks Co., PA.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception RC Church or the charity of your choice.
