Paul Henry Rhoads, 83 of Douglassville, PA died on Friday, February 11, 2022. Born August 28, 1938 in Amity Twp., PA, he was the son of the late Harvey H. Rhoads and the late Hazel (Hadley) Rhoads. He was the husband of Gloria J. (Miller) Rhoads.
Paul owned and operated Rhoads Garage in Weavertown, PA and later drove a school bus for Rhoads Transportation. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Douglassville, PA, where he served on Church Council in the past. He was the 2nd Fire Chief of Amity Fire Co., a former member of the Amity Lions Club and of the Amity Planning Commission.
Surviving along with his wife, Gloria, is sister, Ann Mengel of Douglassville, PA and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers, Gilbert, Harvey, and James Rhoads.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 548 Old Swede Rd. Douglassville, PA 19518. A visitation will be held at church on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM before the service. Burial will be held at a later date.
