Harold “Chas” Christman, 96 of Reading, PA, died on Sept. 26, 2017 at Keystone Villa of Douglassville, PA. Born July 18, 1921 in Gilbertsville, PA he was the son of the late Charles H. Christman and Cathryn (Hampsher) Christman. He was the widower of Juanita Virginia (Wagner) Christman.
Harold was a graduate of Boyertown High School, Third baseman for the Boyertown Legion Bears Baseball, Life member of Boyertown Orioles, Airplane Mechanic in the Army Air Corps WWII, Owner of Christman’s Mobil Gas Station, Boyertown PA 1950s -60s, Partner in roller skating businesses CC Skate Ranch, Amity Twp., CC & M Skate Ranch and Emmaus and a member of St. Paus UCC, Amityville. He loved to travel especially Las Vegas and the Jersey Shore.
Surviving are his daughter Kathleen Christman of Reading with whom he resided, Granddaughter Juniper Thren, Wife of Christopher Thren Annapolis, MD, 2 step great grandchildren McKenzie and Taylor and numerous nieces and nephews.
Harold was predeceased by his wife, Juanita Christman and Son, Mark Christman and 8 siblings. (Marie, May, Irene, Alma, Verna, Roy, Kermit and Burton) he was the youngest.
A funeral service will be held at Highland Memorial Mausoleum, 701 Farmington Ave., Pottstown, PA on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Friends may call one hour prior to service at the mausoleum.
