Florence “Flo” E. (Clark) Hartline, 96, formerly of Birdsboro, PA, died on May 10, 2017, at Keystone Villa at Douglassville, PA. She was born on February 18, 1921, in Townsville, Queensland, Australia; she was the daughter of the late John and Florence Isabell (Millard) Clark. She was the widow of Charles “Chick” Irvin Hartline who passed on Oct. 9, 2004.
Florence was a sewing machine operator for the former Hay Creek Apparel in Birdsboro. She loved to knit and was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She was also a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Birdsboro, where she also taught Sunday School.
She is survived by 2 sons: John C. Hartline, husband of Patricia of Birdsboro, PA and Keith “Casey” C. Hartline, husband of Barbara of Denison, TX. She is survived by 3 grandchildren: Melissa Griffaton, wife of George; and Rachel Christilles, wife of George; Christopher Hartline, husband of Karen; and 4 great grandchildren: Benjamin Griffaton; Lane Christilles; Conner Hartline; and Johnny Hartline.
Florence is predeceased by 6 siblings: John, Stanley, Doreen, Dalma, Ethel, and Mavis.
The viewing will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2017 from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the Dengler Funeral Home, Inc, 144 N. Spruce St., Birdsboro, PA with the funeral service at 10:30 AM.
