David James Holeman, Jr.

 

David James Holeman, Jr., 90 of Douglassville, PA died on Monday, August 7, 2023, at home. Born June 7, 1933 in Litchfield, Illinois, he was the son of the late David James Holeman, Sr. and the late Lola May (Wall) Holeman. He was the husband of the late Shirley Ann (Evans) Holeman.
David was a US Marine Corp. veteran during the Korean War. He retired from Hammond Lead Products Inc, Pottstown, PA. David was a member of Amity Twp. Crime Watch; Eastern PA. Backyard fruit growers; Berks and Montgomery Co. PA State Beekeepers Assoc.; Pikeville Sportsman Club; 62 High Club- Pottstown; Campfire Campers; Keyboard Notables-Reading, PA and Coast Guard Aux. 25 years Flotilla Commander 5th Northern Region-11th Division-Flotilla 1.
Surviving are sons, David J. Holeman, III (Beverley) of Hammond, IN and Richard A. Holeman of Cecil, WI, daughter, Debra A. Harding (David) of Harrisburg, PA, brothers, Claude Holeman of Cedar Lake, IN and James Holeman of King, WI, sisters, Linda Rickett (Ralph) of Fillmore, IL and Normalee Hoyt of Highland, IL; 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother Gerald.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Dengler Funeral Home, 144 N. Spruce Street, Birdsboro, PA. with the funeral service to follow, officiating will be Pastor Dave Simonetti.
Interment will be in Pequea Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Gap, PA.
