Brian David Gabel, 60, of St. Lawrence passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Penn State Health-St. Joseph.
Born on November 19, 1962 in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late David Gordon Gabel and Mary Elizabeth (Wells) Gabel. Brian was the husband of Debra Lynn (Pauley) Gabel with whom he shared 35 years of marriage.
Brian was employed by Great Western Services, Inc. of Allentown.
Brian was the Vice President and former Fire Chief of the Monarch Fire Company where he enjoyed being a member of the fire service for more than 45 years. Brian also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and traveling to Disney World.
Along with his wife, Brian is survived by son, Brian Jr. husband of Elaine Gabel; daughter, Tara wife of Christopher Turtell; and brother, Keith Gabel friend of Sharon Rizzeto. Also surviving is Brian’s 4 grandchildren; Branden Turtell, Andrew Turtell, Charlotte Gabel, and Theodore Gabel.
He was predeceased by sister, Diane Gabel.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday, July 17, 2023, at Dengler Funeral Home, 144 N. Spruce St., Birdsboro, Pennsylvania, with the memorial service to begin at 11:00 AM with the Rev. James T. Farnsworth officiating.
