Janet E. (Levengood) McMullen, 81 of Geigertown, PA passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 in her daughter’s home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Pottstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Earl E. and the late Mary A. (Gross) Levengood. She was the widow of Frederick P. McMullen.
Janet was a 1st grade teacher at Amity Elementary School in the Daniel Boone School District for 35 years. She also was owner of the former McMullen’s Greenhouse. She was a member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church in Geigertown, PA. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Surviving Janet is her daughter: Mary E. Frazier, wife of Robert; brother: Donald Levengood; 2 sisters: Jean Wolf and Judy Trout; 4 grandchildren: Sarah Hanna, wife of Tommy, Richard, Dylan, and Haley Frazier; and 5 great grandchildren: Yasmin, Isabella, Alexander, Bentlee, and Alicia.
A viewing will be held on Friday evening, May 19, 2023 from 5:30pm-7:30pm at the Dengler Funeral Home, Inc. 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA 19508. A funeral service will be Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 10:30am at the funeral home, with a viewing from 10:00am-10:30am prior to the service. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery in Geigertown, PA.
