William Salaneck, Sr., 87, of Douglassville, PA died on Monday, August 16, 2021, at the Reading Hospital. Born March 17, 1934 in Amity Twp., Berks Co., PA. William was the son of the late John and Julia (Hodick) Salaneck. He was the widower of Nuralon E. (Quackenbos) Salaneck.
William enjoyed hunting, fishing, vacations, and birdwatching.
Surviving are son: William Salaneck, Jr. of Douglassville, PA; daughter: Susan, wife of Joseph Guss of Douglassville, PA; brothers: Harry, Peter, and Theodore Salaneck; 4 grandchildren: Jacob, Benjamin, James and Alison; 6 great grandchildren: Jacob, Makayla, Natalya, Nathan, Shawn and Shane.
He was predeceased by daughter: Kathleen Salaneck; brothers: John and Eddie Salaneck; and sister: Helen Nairn.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday, August 23, 2021, at Dengler Funeral Home, 144 N. Spruce Street, Birdsboro, PA with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM.
Interment will be in St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Cemetery, Kenhorst, PA.
