Mary H. (Glassmoyer) Richardson Potts, 82 of Birdsboro, PA, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at Reading Hospital. She was born in Reading, PA, the daughter of the late John Arthur Glassmoyer and the late Adrienne Fair (Johnson) Glassmoyer. She was the widow of Leon R. Potts.
Mary worked in janitorial services for the former Hitchcock Cleaning Co. in Blandon, PA, retiring in 2007. Our Mom had a smile that would lighten up any room she was in. She enjoyed going to the casinos, family trips to the shore when her children were younger, loved her sweets, and sitting outside on a warm day with her dogs. She loved spending time with her family and taking care of her rescued pets who brought her so much joy. Our Mom was the best Mom a child could ask for. Her life had many obstacles, but she always overcame them. We would all like to thank you for all of the lessons you have taught us. No matter what we did as young children, you were always by our side encouraging us to do better. Mom you are irreplaceable. We know you are in a better place looking down on us, and nodding your head in approval. You will always live in our hearts.
Surviving Mary are: 1 son: James B. Richardson at home; 2 sisters: Dorothy M. Richardson of Reading, PA, and Lisa J. Rock of West Lawn, PA; 7 grandchildren: Michael, Kyle, Andrew, Kevin, Kenneth, Kacey, and Elizabeth; and 1 great grandson: Drewen.
She was predeceased by a son: David G. Richardson and a daughter: Nancy L. Potts.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2020 from 3:00pm-4:30pm at the Dengler Funeral Home, Inc. 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA 19508. A funeral service will be on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 11:00AM at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Forest Hills Memorial Park in Reiffton, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Berks Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Rd. Birdsboro, PA 19508.
