Mary E. (Rainey) George, 83, of Exeter Twp., Berks Co., PA passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at the Reading Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Ellis W.D. Rainey and the late Bridget E. (Diver) Rainey. She was the widow of Edward B. George who passed in June 2019.
Mary was a homemaker, who enjoyed knitting and raising her family. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a member of Bethany Congregational Church in East Rockaway, NY.
Surviving Mary are: 5 sons: Edward George, husband of Kimberly, Gary George, husband of Sue, James Good, husband of Patricia, Daniel Good, husband of Stephanie, and Charles Good, husband of Connie; 9 daughters: Eileen Shank, wife of Robert, Mary Hoffman, widow of Robert, Barbara Peck, wife of Randy, Lori Schrafel, wife of Tracy, Gayle McKeon, Melissa Lord, wife of Alex, Tina Kuhn, wife of Kevin, Tracy Fazio, and Kimberly George, wife of Edward; 1 brother: James Rainey; 2 sisters: Winnie Gotlieb and Jacqueline Seasons; 48 grandchildren, 59 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by 2 sons: David Good and Samuel Good, III; 1 daughter: Peggy Kearney; 2 brothers: William and Eli Rainey; and 1 sister: Margaret Oxios.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
