James R. Dine

Friday Jan 7, 2022 we said goodbye to James R. Dine (66) of Douglassville, PA, after a brief illness.  His family was by his side.  He was the son of Christ and Mary Ann Dine of Camillus, NY.  He was a proud father of 2 sons, James Ryan Dine and Steve W. Dine and daughter-in-law Megan Dine and grandfather to 5 grandchildren, Charleigh Rae, Nolan, Brysen, Christopher and Henry.  He also leaves behind his beloved partner Jennifer, of 31 years and sister Shirley Miller and brother Christopher J. Dine, Aunt Patricia Palen and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was born, raised and lived in Syracuse, NY before relocating to PA.  He graduated from West Genesee High School and was a graduate of University of Michigan, at the top of his class, as a Level 5 Grade 1 Web Master.

He was retired.  His career included sales, self employed as a website designer and worked as a motorcycle mechanic.

He will be remembered by many for his coaching of youth hockey.  He coached for many years at Camillus Youth Hockey and inspired confidence in many young players.

He was also a Harley enthusiast and road whenever possible.  Rally camping was a great way to explore new areas, of this great country and at the end of the day, sit around the campfire with a shot of Jack, a beer and the friends he made along the way.

Other hobbies included golf, bowling and darts.  He was a member of the Amity Fire Company and Monarch Fire Company social quarters.

He always said life with him was an adventure.  Thank you Jim for sharing that adventure with us.  He touched so many lives on his journey through life.  You are now on your next adventure.

There will be no calling hours or services.  If you knew him, you knew he did not want that.  We will be having a celebration of life, in Douglassville and Syracuse, dates and times to be determined.
