James “Jim” Edward McNerney, 59 of Birdsboro passed away in his home on August 1, 2024. He was born December 10, 1964 in Oil City, PA to the late Robert and Frances McNerney.
He is predeceased by his brother Robert John McNerney.
He was married to Valerie McNerney and she survives along with their 3 children, Robert, Nicole and Jennifer. He only wanted the best for them.
James was a simple man. He enjoyed watching the Steelers, movies and working on his 1976 MG midget (his first car).
He retired from being a juvenile probation officer. And is remembered by his family as being a jokester and prankster. He was wise and a strong man. He was a fighter till the end and is now at peace.
In lieu of flowers the family requests to live by the Marcus Aurelius quote “You may leave this life at any moment: have this possibility in your mind in all that you do or say or think.”
