Frances (Middleton) Johnson, 89 of Birdsboro Berks County, PA., passed away January 8, 2022 at her home.
Originally of Wernersville, Berks County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Flora (McMillian) Middleton who both immigrated from Scotland. She was predeceased by her husband Clyde Johnson, Jr. and a brother Robert Middleton.
She worked as a bookkeeper at Berkshire Knitting Mills before becoming a homemaker and working at the family Pizza business. Frances was an involved member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Birdsboro, PA where she taught Sunday School among other things. She was a 1950 graduate of Wilson High School. She had a love for golf as her father had been the golf pro at Galen Hall Country Club for many years. She also enjoyed bird watching, was on a bowling team and played in a card club with her friends.
Surviving is 1 daughter, Donna E. wife of David Hinks of Mohnton, PA, 2 sons David S. Johnson husband of Diane, and Douglas M. Johnson husband of Betsy, all of Birdsboro and 1 grandson, Drew Hinks of Mohnton, PA.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, January 23, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Dengler Funeral Home, 144 N. Spruce St., Birdsboro, PA.
A graveside service will be held Monday, January 24, 2022 at 10:30 AM in Birdsboro Cemetery.
