Edward “Skeeter” Hoffman, 70, of Birdsboro, Exeter Twp., PA, passed away on Wednesday January 25, 2023, at UPenn Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He was born in Reading, PA, the son of the late Lester and Fannie Hoffman. He was the loving husband of Connie Hoffman.
Edward worked as an Engineer in mold and tool making for Graham Engineering and Graham Packaging developing technologies that were used in nearly every American home. During his time in the Navy and engineering career he visited 39 states and more than 30 countries on 4 continents creating memories and friendships at every layover, bar stool, airport, and meeting.
He was a member of the Stonersville Disc Golf Club, where he helped establish the first Disc Golf Course in a State Park in PA (French Creek State Park). He was elected into the PA Disc Golf Hall of Fame, and he was a very talented Artist, specializing in etched glass.
Surviving Edward, along with his wife Connie, are: son: Shawn Hoffman; daughter: Amber Dempsey; 2 grandchildren: Hudson and Natalie; his brother: Lester “Buddy” Hoffman and his infinite number of jokes, epic stories, and sage like advice that will entertain campfires and cookouts for generations to come.
He was predeceased by 3 brothers and a sister.
A visitation will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023 at the Dengler Funeral Home, Inc. from 9:00am – 11:30am.
RECEPTION VENUE CHANGE we have so many people responding, that Annamarie’s on Main will not be able to accommodate us. Therefore, we will be having a breakfast buffet at 12 noon at Michael’s Restaurant, 1211 Ben Franklin Hwy. West, Douglassville, PA 19518.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, 58 Kennel Rd. Birdsboro, PA 19508.
