Betty L. (Manmiller) Freese

Betty L. (Manmiller) Freese, 94 formerly of Exeter Twp., PA passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Chestnut Knoll in Boyertown, PA. Born in Green Lane, PA, she was the daughter of the late Amandus G. and Sara M. (Hoyer) Manmiller. She was the widow of Warren “Johnny” S. Freese.

Betty graduated from Birdsboro High School Class of 1945. She worked for Murray Chevrolet in Birdsboro, PA, where she met her husband after World War II. She later worked as a bookkeeper at Longenecker’s and Berks Christian School. Betty was a member of Exeter Bible Church, where she also sang in the choir. She enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles, and bird watching.

Over the years, Betty and her husband, Johnny, went out of their way to always lend a helping hand to many family members and friends.

Surviving Betty are 2 daughters: Ruth Ann Graul, wife of Kenneth Jr., and Nancy Klischer, wife of Matthew; 4 grandchildren: Sara, Rebecca, Daniel, and Julie; and 4 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by 1 brother: Amandus Manmiller, and 2 sisters: Mary Hunsberger and Catherine Hunsberger.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 10:30am at the Dengler Funeral Home, Inc. 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA 19508. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton, PA.
