Robert Daryl Graul, Sr.

Robert Daryl Graul, Sr., 72 of Birdsboro, PA went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 20, 2017 at Penn State Health – St. Joseph.
Robert was born July 18, 1944 in West Reading, PA. He was the son of the late William Augustus Graul and the late Sara Phoebe Irene (Yohn) Graul.
Robert was the husband of Ann Louise (Lynch) Graul with whom he shared 54 years of marriage.
After graduating from Daniel Boone High School in 1962, Robert worked for Firestone Tire and Rubber Company as a tire-builder. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and hunting before his accident. Being wheelchair bound for forty-five years did not stop him from enjoying life. Robert embraced traveling, collecting Birdsboro memorabilia and watching Daniel Boone Sports. He became a Birdsboro Historian and kept an extensive collection of articles and information about local people and events. He loved to attend the Birdsboro Memorial Day and Halloween
Robert was a member of Exeter Bible Church. He also enjoyed going to Rehoboth Beach, DE, Valley Forge, the movies and attending concerts. He loved the History Channel, doing sudoku puzzles and watching Jeopardy. He read the local newspaper from start to finish and loved cutting things out to share with family members. He was also a member of the Berks County Historical Society and the Reading Coin
His favorite sport was high school basketball. You could always see him from across the court wearing a neon orange, yellow or Daniel Boone blue sweatshirt if he wasn’t wearing a shirt from Exeter or Wyomissing where his grandchildren attend
The joy of his life was being with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three children: daughter Stephanie Jean wife of Timothy Shustack of Exeter Twp, PA; son, Robert Daryl Graul Jr., husband of Lowie Tolentino of Birdsboro, PA; daughter Kayleen Marie wife of Dr. Stephen Soffer of Wyomissing, PA; two brothers, Kenneth Graul Sr. of Exeter Twp., PA, David Graul of Reading, PA; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth (Shustack) Huyett, wife of Charles Huyett, Jessica (Shustack) Basile, wife of Michael Basile, Nina Soffer, Rebecca Shustack, Montrachet Soffer, Joshua Shustack, Chenin Soffer; and four great-grand children, Mason Basile, Carson Basile, Chase Huyett, and Nathan Huyett.
He was predeceased by a brother Richard Graul and a sister Suzanne Tschudy.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing which will be held at Exeter Bible Church, 926 Philadelphia Terrace, Birdsboro, PA on Friday, February 24th, 2017 at 10:30am followed by A Celebration of Life Service, at 12:00 noon. Please wear bright colors!
Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Dorothea Grace (Miller) Eppihimer

Dorothea Grace (Miller) Eppihimer, 87 of Colebrookdale Twp., Boyertown, Berks Co., PA died on Thursday, February 23, 2017, at Pennsburg Manor in Montgomery County.
Born in Black Rock, Chester Co., PA, she was the daughter of the late Earl Miller and the late Mabel (Wolf) Miller. Dorothea was the widow of Millard Filmore Eppihimer, who died on May 27, 2005.
She was a cook and waitress at the former Rea & Derrick Pharmacy in Boyertown. Dorothea liked to watch game shows and loved word searches. She was also a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Boyertown.
Surviving are 3 sons: Earl A. Eppihimer at home; Glen W. Eppihimer, husband of Angie of Hamburg, PA; Lee E. Eppihimer, husband of Susan of Reading PA; 2 daughters: Deborah Y., wife of Kevin Eddy of Pottstown, PA; and Cynthia J. Eshbach of West Lawn, PA She is also survived by 1 brother: Dennis Miller of Boyertown, PA and 1 sister: Shirley, widow of Warren Frain of Boyertown, PA and 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Dorothea is predeceased by 1 son: Terry Lee Epphimer.
Services will be at the convenience of the family.

Adalene Grace (Kratz) Porter,

Adalene Grace (Kratz) Porter, 88, formerly of Union Twp., Berks Co., PA died on Friday, February 24, 2017, at Tel Hai Retirement Community.
Born in Geigertown, PA, she was the daughter of the Hervey A. Kratz and the late Margaret Ann (Geiger) Kratz. She was the widow of, William F. Porter, who were married on March 1, 1952.
Adalene was an inspector for 22yrs for the former Anchor Glass Co. in Royersford, PA and retired in 1990. She was a graduate of North Coventry High School, a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Geigertown, PA, where she also participated in Sunday School and church choir.
Surviving Adalene, is her brother: Donald E. Kratz of Union Twp. She was predeceased by her 9 siblings.
A funeral service will take place on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at St. Paul’s UM Church, 1136 Geigertown Rd. Birdsboro, PA 19508 at 11:00 AM. There will be a viewing an hour before the service at the church. Burial will take place in St. Paul’s UM Cemetery.

Henry Michael Tschudy

Henry Michael Tschudy, 71 of Robeson Twp., Berks Co., PA died on Friday, March 3, 2017, at Penn State Health – St. Joseph Medical Center.
Born April 6, 1945 in Reading, PA., Berks Co., PA, he was the son of the late John Tschudy and Lottie (Swierczewski) Dettore.
Henry was the husband of Edna V. (McComsey) Tschudy.
Henry was a tire builder for the former Firestone and Rubber Company, Pottstown, PA, Kennedy Tool & Die Company, Birdsboro, PA, and retired from Spanco in Morgantown, PA. He was a member of Green Hills Sportsmen’s Club, Berks County HOG, and Birdsboro Sportsmen’s Club.
Surviving are 1 son, Daniel J. husband of Lisa Tschudy of Marion Twp., PA; 1 daughter, Debra A. wife of Gregory Wingenroth of Exeter Twp., PA; 3 step – daughters, Joy L. wife of Jerry Boyer of Exeter Twp., PA, Monna J. Somerday of Sinking Springs, PA., and Terri M. wife of Todd Wartzenluft of Temple, PA; 1 sister Geraldine Raetsch of Mt. Penn, PA, 3 grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and 7 step-great grandchildren..
A visitation will be held at Dengler Funeral Home, Inc., 144 North Spruce Street, Birdsboro, PA on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 9:30AM to 10:30AM with the funeral service to follow at 10:30AM.
Burial will be in St. Paul’s United Methodist Church Cemetery, Geigertown, PA.

Jon W. Cleaver, II

On Friday March 3, 2017 our dearest love at the age of 27 Jon W. Cleaver, II succumbed to his addiction to heroin. Before his addiction he had a bright future ahead of him. He graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree in engineering and looked forward to a great life. But drugs stole that away from him. He will be missed greatly by his mother Sandra Rapak of Robinson Township, his aunt Lynn Cleaver of Union Township and his siblings Clarisa Copeland and James Wynn of Sebring, FL. He was preceded in death by his father Jon W. Cleaver.
If you are reading this and have an addiction seek help before it’s too late. It was too late for Jon but there is still hope for you.

Joseph Daniel Nanni

Joseph Daniel Nanni, 75 of Union Twp., Berks Co., PA passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017, at home with his loving family by his side.

Born June 16, 1941 in Philadelphia., PA, he was the son of the late Joseph Nanni and the late Josephine (Fecera) Nanni.

Joseph was the husband of Faye (Lucas) Nanni, of 55 years.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Douglassville, PA., Birdsboro Union Fire Company, Senior Citizens Center in Cecilton, MD., Crystal Beach Manor Boat Club, and Crystal Beach Civic Association.

Joseph was employed by Westinghouse, Lester, PA as a Mechanical Engineer, and retired after 27 years of employment. He owned his own painting business, and was the property caretaker at Our Lady’s Missionaries of the Eucharist, Birdsboro, PA.

Surviving are 3 children; Tina Buchanan of Earleville, MD, Tammy Nanni of Birdsboro, PA; and Daniel J. husband of Norma Nanni of Birdsboro, PA; 4 grandchildren, Josephine, Josh, Joey, and Austin; and 2 great-grandchildren, Owen and Dexter.

He enjoyed his “home away from home” at Crystal Beach, MD with his friends and family, and spent most of his time there for the past 5 years. He also enjoyed boating, reading, and puzzles.

A viewing will be held at the Dengler Funeral Home, Inc. 144 North Spruce Street, Birdsboro, PA on Friday March 17, 2017, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, and Immaculate Conception RC Church, 905 Chestnut Street, Douglassville, (Union Twp.), PA 19518 on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow.

Burial will be at Immaculate Conception RC Church Cemetery, Union Twp., PA.

Anna Lucy (Giorgianni) Rapposelli

Anna Lucy (Giorgianni) Rapposelli, 88 formerly of Birdsboro, PA passed away on March 22, 2017, at Berkshire Center in Reading, PA. Born December 13, 1928 in Birdsboro, PA, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore Giorgianni and the late Catherine (Merlino) Giorgianni. She was the widow of Joseph T. Rapposelli.
Anna was employed by the Former Luden Candy in Reading, PA. She enjoyed crocheting, photography, baking, and taking care of her home.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Douglassville, PA.
Surviving are daughter, Catherine A. DePew of Reading, PA; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Hantwerker; Emily Shaffer, Michael Shaffer; and 4 great grandchildren, Tiffany, Raymond, Gavin, and Logan.
She was predeceased by brothers, Joseph Giorgianni and Samuel Giorgianni.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at the Immaculate Conception R. C. Church, 905 Chestnut Street, Douglassville, PA 19518 on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Followed by interment at Immaculate Conception R. C. Cemetery, Birdsboro, PA.

Kenneth E. Barth

Kenneth E. Barth, 79, of Elverson, Robeson Twp., Berks Co., PA died on Saturday, March 25, 2017, he was surrounded by his loving family at Berkshire Center, Exeter Twp.
Born on March 15, 1938 in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late C. Elwood Barth and the late Rose (Karish) Barth. He was the husband of Geri Ann (Pendi) Barth
Kenneth was employed by Met-Ed as a Control Room Operator for 26 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of South End Gun Club, Boyertown Rod & Gun Club, and East End AC. He enjoyed hunting and trap shooting and spending time at his camp in Clinton County, Running Deer Assoc.
Surviving, along with his wife, are 1 son, David R. Barth, husband of Cinda of Robeson Twp., 1 sister, Judie R. Barth, wife of Randy Franklin of Florida, 2 grandsons, Ryan Barth and Chad, husband of Heather Barth, and 2 great grandchildren, Dempsey and Ryder.
Services will be at the convenience of the family.

Lawrence M. McMullen

Lawrence M. McMullen, 90, of Geigertown, Union Twp., PA went home to be with the Lord. He passed away on March 27, 2017 after a long illness.

Born in Geigertown, he was the son of the late Howard S. McMullen and the late Laura A. (Keinard) McMullen. He was predeceased by his wife, Gladys J. (Wenger) McMullen.

Lawrence retired in 1992 from the Twin Valley School District. Previously, he was a tire inspector for 20 years for the former Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, Pottstown, and the former John Wood Company, Royersford. McMullen was a member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Geigertown. He was also a member and co-founder of the Ackin’ Back Hunting Camp in Morris, PA.

He is survived by his three sons: Merrill L. McMullen, Sr., widower of Shirley McMullen of Exeter Twp.; Larry R. McMullen, Sr., husband of Sandy McMullen of Union Twp.; and George M. husband of Eileen McMullen of Raleigh. NC.

Also surviving are ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, four step grandchildren, and nine step great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 at the Dengler Funeral Home, Inc., 144 N. Spruce Street, Birdsboro, PA 19508 at 11:00 AM. A viewing will be held an hour before the service on Monday from 10:00-11:00AM.

Interment will be held in St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery in Geigertown.
