Eugene W. Readinger, 93 of Exeter Twp., Berks Co., PA, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at Berkshire Center in Exeter Twp., Berks Co., PA.
Born in Oley, PA, he was the son of the late Wayne Delp Readinger and Minnie (Heffner) Readinger. He was the widower of the late Ruth (Merkel) Readinger.
Eugene retired from Reading Area Community College. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Gibraltar, PA.
He served in the US Army during WWII.
Surviving are son; Wayne E. husband of Ruth Ann Readinger of Fleetwood, PA, daughter; Susan J. wife of Dale Creed at home, sister; Shirley Oswald of Oley, PA, 2 grandchildren; Rebecca and Bradley, and 2 great-grandchildren; Michael and Shannon.
He was predeceased by son; Dennis Readinger, brother, Paul Lee, and sister; Betty Boyer.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 11:00am at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1035 Old River Road, Birdsboro (Gibraltar), PA 19508. A viewing will be held an hour before the service at the church.
Interment will be at Frieden’s Cemetery, Oley, PA
