Richard A. Bailey, 85 Birdsboro, Robeson Twp. PA passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021, at the Reading Hospital. Born in Hamburg, PA, he was the son of the late Robert D. and Ruth I. (Kuhn) Bailey. He was the loving husband of Margaret A. (Maurer) Bailey.
Richard worked and retired from Quadrant Plastics, formerly Polymer Corp. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Gibraltar, PA. He enjoyed gardening and yard work, adored his 2 cats, loved going to the shore and the casinos.
Surviving Richard, along with his wife, Margaret, are: 1 daughter: Debra L. Acker, wife of Herman of Reading, PA; 1 sister: Phyllis Schollenberger of Wyomissing, PA; 1 granddaughter: Amy M. Rusak; and 2 great grandchildren: Dillon and Cadence.
He was predeceased by his daughter: Vicki J. Baggenstone and 1 brother & 4 sisters.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 11:00am at the Dengler Funeral Home, Inc. 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA 19508. A viewing will be held on Thursday, from 10:00am-11:00am before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Pleasant View Cemetery in Sinking Spring, PA.
