William S. Weiler, 87 of Birdsboro, PA passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017. Born February 18, 1930 in Robeson Twp., Berks Co., PA, he was the son of the late William S. and Mary (Squibb) Weiler. He was the loving husband of Grace (Potter) Weiler.
He was employed as a Foundry Manager for Stanley G. Flagg & Co., Stowe, PA for 37 yrs., before his retirement in 1992. William served as a Corporal in the US Army.
William was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Birdsboro, PA where he served as an Usher for many years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 626, Birdsboro Friendship Fire Company, Rajah Shriners, and Union Lodge 479 F & M for 50 years. He coached Birdsboro Legion Baseball and was a Berks County Referee for basketball for many years.
Surviving, along with his wife, Grace, are: 2 daughters: Marsha J. wife of Dave Miller of Exeter Twp., PA; Jodie L. wife of Ken Smith of Millsboro, DE; sister: Helen Schaeffer of Douglassville, PA, 4 grandchildren: Alicia, Megan, Nathan, Casey and 1 great-grandchild: Christian.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
