William Joseph Reidy, Jr., 89 of Amity Twp., Berks Co., PA passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born Thursday, October 11, 1928 in Chicago, Ill., he was the son of the late William Joseph Reidy, Sr. and the late Anna Dorothy (Glyda) Reidy. He was the husband of Margaret Ann (Moore) Reidy.
He was preceded in death by his brother George J. Reidy husband of Beth Reidy of Wisconsin.
He was employed by Chicago Helicopter Airways and later employed as CFO for MBB Helicopter in West Chester, PA.
William was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Immaculate Conception BVMRCC, Douglassville, PA. He served on the board for the American Helicopter Museum, West Chester, PA and was a member of Our Lady’s Missionary. He enjoyed playing golf, reading, and crossword puzzles. William was a loving father and mentor.
Surviving along with his wife are 2 daughters; Geri M. Drake of Downingtown, PA, Jennifer M. wife of Gerald Overdorf, Jr, of Douglassville, PA, 2 sons; William J. Reidy, III husband of Linda of Downingtown, PA, John J. husband of Dianne Reidy of Exton, PA, 13 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Immaculate Conception BVMRCC located at 905 Chestnut Street, Douglassville, (Union Twp.) PA.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM for viewing prior to services.
Interment will be in Immaculate Conception R. C. Cemetery, Birdsboro, PA.
