William F. “Spub” Hahn

William F. “Spub” Hahn, Sr., 95, of Robeson Twp., Berks Co., PA passed away on October 21, 2017 in the comfort of his home. He was born in Birdsboro, PA to the late William J. Hahn and the late Mabel M (Keller) Hahn.  He was married to the late Sarah P. (Iles) Hahn who died on 12/28/2001.

William was a Boy Scout Leader Troop 229, a member of the American Legion Post 0934 and enjoyed woodworking, building cabinets and birdhouses. He served our country in the US Army Infantry in WWII and received a few Purple Hearts. He worked as a Supervisor for the John T. Dyer Quarry in Robeson Twp.

Surviving William are 5 grandsons: William F. Hahn, III, husband of Susan of Robeson Twp.; James E. Hahn of Lansdale, PA; Michael-Paul S. Hahn, husband of Lisa Porter of Robeson Twp.; Patrick-Scott A. Hahn of Virginia; and Matthew-James Hahn of Virginia; and 1 brother: Earl (Slim) Hahn of Birdsboro, PA. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren: Alex, Katelynn, Dillan, Amber, Madison, and Claudia.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 at the Dengler Funeral Home, Inc., 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA at 1:00 PM. A viewing will be held at the funeral home, an hour before the service from 12:00 noon – 1:00 PM. Interment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton, PA.
