Virginia Lillian (Swavely) Reitz, 93 of Robeson Twp., Berks Co., PA died on Sunday, January 7, 2017, at Reading Hospital & Medical Center.
Born Birdsboro, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry Z. Swavely and the late Margaret (Rohrbach) Swavely.
She was the wife of the late, Kenneth William Reitz. They were married in 1950.
Virginia was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Birdsboro, PA. She graduated in 1942 from Birdsboro High School, lifetime member of Bird Chapter #460 OES, and an avid Phillies fan. She was a homemaker who took joy in taking care of her family.
Surviving are 2 sons; Del K. husband of Beverly Reitz of Birdsboro, PA, Bret husband of Karen Reitz of Birdsboro, PA, 2 Nieces; Kerry Wheatley, Kathy Rolland, 4 grandchildren; Melanie Abel, Abbey Lee, Zachary Reitz, Madeline Greth, 5 Great-grandchildren; Cody Abel, Hannah Reitz, Jonah Lee, Maedyn Lee, and Nolan Greth.
She was predeceased by son, Mark W. Reitz..
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church 5 Brooke Manor, Birdsboro, PA 19508 on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at 11:00 AM.
