Thelma E. (Keinard) Ash, 88, formerly of Exeter Twp., Berks Co., PA went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Exeter Greens Care & Rehab Center. Born in Baumstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Fred L. and Mary (Fulton) Keinard. She was the widow of Forrest D. Ash.
Thelma had a loving personality; she loved watching soap operas and religious television, and especially loved cats. She enjoyed always visiting people at Berks Heim and loved people in general.
Surviving Thelma are: 1 son: Forrest D. Ash, husband of Elizabeth of Shenandoah, PA; 1 daughter: Robin S. Shirey, wife of Clayton of Union Twp. Berks Co., PA; 1 brother: Lee D. Keinard of Reading, PA; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by 2 sisters, 2 brothers, a great grandchild, and a great great grandchild.
A Graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Limerick Garden of Memories, 44 Swamp Pike Limerick, PA 19468. There will be a procession from the Dengler Funeral Home, Inc. 144 North Spruce Street, Birdsboro PA to the cemetery on Thursday, departure will be promptly, 9:05 AM from the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, 58 Kennel Rd. Birdsboro, PA 19508.
