Ronald John Kretzman, Sr., 78 of Reading, PA passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2017 in Ft. Myers, FL.
Born Tuesday, May 17, 1938 in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late John Kretzman and Ann (Milshaw) Kretzman. He was the husband of the late Mary Ruth (Maddaloni) Kretzman.
Ronald served as a SP5 E-5 (T) in the Army.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception RC Church.
Ronald was employed as a Cureman at Firestone, Pottstown, PA, and maintenance at Cabot Corporation, Boyertown, PA, and Union Township Supervisor for 13 years.
He loved trains, and was an avid train collector.
Surviving are 2 sons; Ronald J. Jr. husband of Lisa Kretzman, of Reading, PA, Karl F. Kretzman and companion Donna Henderson of Douglassville, PA; sister, Barbara wife of Thomas Kalwaic of Reading, PA; 5 grandchildren, Timothy, Ashley, Kelli, Nicole, & Natalie; 6 great grandchildren, Brynn, Kylee, Jada, Shemar, Timothy Jr., and Joshua. Ronald was also survived by several nieces and nephews; and Ronald’s companion Sharon Readinger.
A viewing will be held at Immaculate Conception RC Church, 905 Chestnut Street, Douglassville, PA on Monday, May 1, 2017, from 8:45 AM to 9:45 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial.
Burial will be in Immaculate Conception RC Church Cemetery, Birdsboro, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception RC Church, 905 Chestnut Street, Douglassville, PA 19518.
