Robert Kellar, 95, formerly of Douglassville, PA passed away on December 16, 2017 at Berkshire Commons. He was born in Cedarville, Chester Co., PA, a son, of the late Samuel L. and the late Belle A. (Ludwig) Kellar. He was the widower of Catherine M. (Tothero) Kellar.
He was employed as a machinist for Dana Corp. for 47 years. Robert was an avid bowler and golfer, and was an active member in his church, St. Paul’s UCC Amityville. Robert served his country in World War II in the US Army 121st Infantry.
Surviving Robert are: 3 sons: Robert L. Kellar; Linwood S., husband of Leslie Kellar; and Mark J., husband of Jo Ann Kellar; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
He is predeceased by 2 brothers: Samuel and Carl “Monk” Kellar; and 1 sister: Emily Bortman.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December, 21, 2017 at 11:00am at the Dengler Funeral Home, Inc., 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA 19508. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Thursday an hour before the service from 10:00am – 11:00am. Interment will be held in Birdsboro Cemetery.
