Percival Lewis “Butch” Keller Jr.

Percival Lewis “Butch” Keller Jr., 54, of Douglassville, passed away peacefully July 1, 2018, in the Reading Hospital surrounded by his family.

Born in Reading, he was a son of Marion L. (Eckert) and the late Percival Keller Sr.

Butch was employed recently by Boyer’s Market and Catering.  Previously he worked for Arrowhead Golf Course, Douglassville, as a greenskeeper, and as a mechanic at Bentz’s Garage, Birdsboro.

He had many hobbies and interests such as: golf, Harley Davidson’s, working on cars, playing Texas Hold’em, shooting pool, shooting darts, shuffleboard, board shoots, hunting, and fishing.  Butch was an avid Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Pirates fan.  He was also a member of the Monarch Fire Company, Birdsboro Sportsmen’s Club, Stonersville Fire Company, and the Knights of Columbus.  He was a past member of the Arrowhead Twilight Golf League.

Butch will be dearly missed by his family and friends, especially for the way he lit up the room with jokes, his outgoing personality, and his input on current events.

The family would like to express sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses, and surgery teams of the Reading Hospital during Butch’s extended stay.

In addition to his mother, Butch is survived by four children: Kristin L. Keller, fiancé of Toby Brown, McConnellsburg, PA; Whitney M. Keller, Indianapolis, IN; Dalton R., husband of Emily Keller, Oceanside, CA; and Darian L. Keller, Fleetwood; one sister, Penny, widow of Timothy Messner; one brother, Vernon, husband of Valerie (McLean) Keller; two grandchildren: Broc Hostler and Braelyn Brown.

A Celebration of Life will be celebrated on Sunday, July 8, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Arrowhead Golf Course, 1539 Weavertown Road, Douglassville, PA  19518.  In lieu of flowers to help defray funeral costs, donations can be mailed to Valerie Keller, 1515 Weavertown Road, Douglassville, PA  19518.
