Melissa Ruth (Bell) Kennedy, 88 of Exeter Twp., Berks Co., PA, went to be with the Lord, on Thursday, December 27, 2018, from home surrounded by her loving family.
Born December 11, 1930 in Pottstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late John Bell and the late Melissa (Shaner) Bell. She was the widow of Laverne Kennedy.
She was a member of the former Alice Focht Memorial United Methodist Church, Birdsboro. She served on many committees at Alice Focht until her health deteriorated. Melissa loved sewing, gardening, coloring, and most of all, sharing her love and faith with her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are daughters; Carole A. Lott, Colleen R. wife of Allen Wunderlich and 5 grandchildren; Melissa, wife of Brian Boyer, Jessica Yoder, John Templin, husband of Mary, Jeremy Wunderlich, husband of Sherri, and Joel Wunderlich, husband of Brooke, 10 great grandchildren; Breanna, Brittney, Mallory, Carena, Emma, Branden, Logan, Bryce, Trent, Makenzy, and 2 great – great grandchildren; Oakley and Remmington.
Melissa is also survived by her long loving companion Earl W. Lee and family; Forrest Lee, husband of Kim, George Lee, husband of Lorraine, Patricia Jones, wife of Gregory, and grandchildren; Garret, Tiffany, Alicia, and Jansen.
She was predeceased by son, Laverne Kennedy, Jr. and 10 siblings.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 9:00AM – 11:00AM at the Dengler Funeral Home, Inc., 144 North Spruce Street, Birdsboro, PA followed by a funeral service.
Interment will be in Birdsboro Cemetery, Birdsboro, PA.
